Delete your Tallied account and data

1. Sign in to Tallied.
2. Tap your initials at the top right to open Settings.
3. Scroll to Delete account and tap it.
4. Type DELETE and tap Delete permanently.

This immediately and permanently deletes all of your Tallied data: accounts and balances, transactions, refunds, people you lend to or borrow from, Regulars, categories and sub-categories, “Belongs to” labels, statement import history and remembered statement layouts, and your settings. You are then signed out. It cannot be undone, so export a backup first (Settings → Import history & export) if you want a copy.

Tallied shares its sign-in with other Mirakai apps, so the steps above do not remove the sign-in account itself (your email address and account identifier) or your data in other Mirakai apps. To have the sign-in account deleted too, email hello@emirakai.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject “Delete my Tallied account”. We delete it, along with any Tallied data still stored, and confirm by email.

Nothing from Tallied is kept in the live database after deletion. Copies in our hosting and database providers' routine backups are overwritten in the normal course, after which the data is gone from them too.
